You'd want to keep an average height or shorter guy on the outside.  That way you can pick your time for good solid head shots. If you are a righty, then you might  use kicks and snappy right jabs to keep him on the outside, in combination with your left cross or a left hook, for the power shots. If you have nice, long hard elbows, then I'd work in some of those across the guy's face.

Your biggest mistake is thinking that your power is going to overwhelm anybody.  Those guys, the ones who are planning to use their "power" to win a fight also make the biggest mistakes.  Power is good.  Stamina is also good, but a little bit of skill goes a long way. Big, unskilled guys typically throw wild, wide-open haymakers, with a squared off stance,  each time leaving lots of tender parts exposed.  I remember one weight lifter I used to hang out with always advise me the way to win a fight is to run at the guy and use both fists like a hammer right down on the person's head.  I let this go, because it's a ridiculous strategy.  I invited him to spar with our group, but he would never take me up on it.

The taller you are  . . .  the easier to floor you !
